Adaptix unveils plans for Scottish-based manufacturing facility

Adaptix has today released plans for the manufacture of its Flat Panel Distributed Array 3D X-ray generator in Scotland. It has appointed Ian Taylor as Operations Director and has secured a facility in BioCity as a build and test environment to accelerate its ambitious growth plans.

With support from Scottish Enterprise and its Regional Selective Assistance programme, Adaptix plans to equip the facility with state of the art X-ray generator production and test apparatus and will recruit a team of medical device professionals to commence production of its product in 2018.

Ian Taylor joins Adaptix with 20 years’ experience in delivering leading edge technology products into highly regulated environments for companies in the aerospace, semiconductor and medical device sectors. He has acted as COO within venture-backed businesses, developing medical device products and holds an MBA from Warwick Business School.

BioCity Scotland is already home to a number of dynamic, successful and growing medical innovators. The site was previously owned by Organon Laboratories.
